My name is John "Jack" Fisher, and I've been playing Water Polo since I was 11 years old for Trojan Water Polo Club in Los Angeles. I completed my 3rd year of Water Polo at Loyola High School, a D1 program under Erik Healy. I was brought up to varsity my sophomore year, and I was a starting attacker this year as a Junior and won an award for most improved. In addition, I helped my team finish 5th in the Open Division. My goal is to continue playing water polo in college and compete at a higher level with players committed to the sport.
I consider myself a waterman. It started with competitive surfing at South Bay Board Riders Club. Then, I tried out for the Los Angeles Junior Lifeguards, where I earned MVP 4 years in a row and a spot at the Regional Junior Lifeguards Championship in 2019. I am a strong swimmer who has the ability to perform under pressure in the water. These skills led me to water polo. I fell in love with the sport immediately. I have grown into a fast attacker who loves setting my teammates and myself up for success. I am a relentless defender who loves to press for steals and shot block, and I can move into different roles as needed by my team or coaches. I am a team player who leads with effort and passion.
I have been recognized as a top player in the Coastal Zone and competed on the ODP Coastal Zone Regional Team 2022. After performing in the regional championships, I was invited to the National Team Selection Camp in 2022. I just made the Coastal Zone Team Regional Team for 2023. I’m working to earn the opportunity to attend the National Team Selection Camp for 2023. ODP has challenged me because of the strength of the players, the speed of the game, creativity, and competitiveness. It is a huge opportunity to grow as a player.
I aim to play water polo in college at the highest level while pursuing my academic interest in Business or Engineering.

For kids too afraid to surf, I'll build sand castles and crab hunt with them. You just want to make sure everyone is having fun
